Parv Kaur founded her troupe Eternal Taal, a team specialising in Female Bhangra Entertainment in 1999. The group teaches Dhol Drumming and Bhangra Dance at weekly classes in Birmingham.
Parv’s aim is to promote and perform Bhangra music to a wider audience. She has performed at prestigious venues and festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Graham Norton Show and BBC Comic Relief with Dermot O’Leary.
The troupe’s hard work has been recognised by the House of Commons and has been awarded ‘Contribution to Bhangra Music in the UK’. They have also been nominated for many other awards, such as ‘Best in Arts and Culture’, ‘Best Dhol Group’ and ‘Best Wedding Entertainment’.
Parv’s musical journey also featured in the BBC World News where her story went viral with over a million views. She continues to break barriers in a very male-dominated industry by promoting female musicians across the UK.
